USMD Hospital at Arlington is seeking a Full Time Food/Housekeeping team member in Arlington, TX.

Under direct supervision, assist in preparing and presenting foods for patients, employees, visitors and special functions, while upholding safety and sanitation standards. Requires a high school diploma/GED, a CFM within 6 months, and 3+ years in food preparation with on‑the‑job cooking training preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required; completion of on‑the‑job training in principles of cooking preferred.
• Certified Food Manager (CFM) required within 6 months.
• Minimum of three years in food preparation, cooking and sanitation/safety preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in all areas of production: food preparation, grill cooking, sanitation, and quality standards.
• Prepares food according to production sheets following simple or complex recipes, utilizing appropriate equipment.
• Able to train Cook I’s to reach optimum level of proficiency in all areas of kitchen; food production, recipes, taste, and sanitation to reach Cook II level.
• Able to observe and taste food prepared to verify flavor and texture standards; adjust recipes as needed.
• Organize work for maximum production and ensure proper food temperatures and safety standards.
