Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Food Protection Manager Certification within 90 days; ServSafe preferred.
• One year of experience in quantity food preparation.
• Full understanding of therapeutic diets preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food following department recipes, planned menus, and policies.
• Serves and portions food per recipes and policies.
• Follows patient diet orders when serving food.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Labels, dates, and stores food properly.
• Uses production sheets to direct preparation and quantity of food.
• Operates kitchen equipment safely and maintains it in good condition.
• Participates in safety and sanitation practices and infection control.
