Job summary

PACS in Elkhorn, Wisconsin is seeking a hospital cook to manage and operate the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor. The role includes preparing meals in large quantities, following prepared menus and portion controls, and maintaining sanitary conditions.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of hospital or long-term care cooking experience. A ServSafe certificate is required, PCC knowledge preferred, and good standing with the Department

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• ServSafe Certification required.
• Experience as a cook in a hospital or long-term care facility desired (1 year minimum).
• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, clean, and sanitary manner.
• Prepare meals in large quantities and in accordance with menus/portions.
• Follow menus and portion control guides; prepare special diets accurately.
• Record food temperatures and ensure proper sanitation routines.
• Assist with serving meals and managing kitchen workflows in supervisor's absence.
