Job summary

Avem Health Partners is seeking a part-time cook to support hospital food service. You will prepare, season and cook meals for patients, staff and visitors in a fast-paced kitchen, 28 hours per week with day/evening/weekend shifts.

Under the supervision of the Dietary Manager, you will follow approved recipes, meet dietary guidelines, and maintain a clean kitchen while observing infection control and safety standards. A Food Handlers License is required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in hospital food preparation.
• Food Handlers License required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, seasons, and cooks food for hospital patients, staff and visitors.
• Determines quantities to meet planned menus and ensures meals are ready on time.
• Consults Dietitian on modified diets as necessary.
• Measures ingredients and follows approved recipes using standard kitchen equipment.
• Maintains a clean, neat, and organized kitchen and adheres to infection prevention practices.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and observes safety and regulatory requirements.
