Job summary

UCHealth UCHlth Med Ctr of the Rockies in Loveland is seeking a full-time cook to prepare meals for patients, the cafeteria and catering services. The role requires following recipes, planning cooking schedules, accommodating modified diets, and maintaining sanitation in a fast-paced, onsite environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School diploma or GED, or UCHealth-administered basic competency test is required.
• Minimum Experience: 1 year of experience that includes line cook experience.

Responsibilities

• Reviews menu and determines types and quantities of food items to be prepared.
• Follows standardized recipes and plans cooking schedule to ensure food is ready at specified times.
• Confers with supervisor regarding modified diet preparation and use of leftovers.
• Adheres to guidelines for storage, handling and preparation of food as well as sanitation and maintenance of work area.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
