LA Community Hospital at Bellflower is seeking a Cook to join the kitchen team. You will prepare nutritious meals for patients and staff, following dietary guidelines and patient requests.

This full-time position runs 9am-5:30pm with some 5:00am-1:30pm shifts; teamwork, food safety, and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Healthcare/food service cooking experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow recipes and meal plans accurately.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes, ensuring quality and dietary requirements.
• Assist with meal plating and presentation for patients and staff.
• Maintain records of temperatures, production, waste and usage.
• Uphold HACCP food safety guidelines and maintain a clean kitchen area.
• Communicate issues to management and participate in team meetings.
