Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including special dietary needs, in accordance with established recipes and food safety guidelines
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all relevant food safety and sanitation standards
Assist in the planning, preparation, and serving of meals for special events and functions
Work effectively with the dietary department and other hospital staff to ensure seamless service
Monitor and report any food allergies or special dietary needs of residents
Collaborate with the dietary manager to plan menus and specials
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including food safety and quality control measures
MUST BE ABLE TO FOLLOW WED - SUNDAY 11A - 730PM / SAT -SUN 5AM -130PM
1 years of experience as a cook or in a SNF (training/education a plus)
MUST HAVE FOOD HANDLERS CERTIFICATION.
Ability to lift, push, or pull heavy objects, as well as stand for extended periods
Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
