Lemontree Healthcare is hiring a Full-time Cook for Lauderdale Lakes, FL, to prepare nutritious meals for patients and staff in collaboration with the kitchen team. You will follow dietary guidelines, assist with meal plating, and help manage inventory while maintaining high food-safety standards.

Shift is 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday–Friday with every other weekend. Pay ranges from $16 to $18 per hour, with comprehensive benefits including health and vision insurance, a 401k, paid time off and

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience in healthcare, restaurant, or institutional setting.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow recipes and meal plans accurately.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes, ensuring food meets quality, taste, and dietary requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, following food safety guidelines (HACCP).
• Assist with meal plating and food presentation, ensuring meals are visually appealing and appetizing.
• Help manage food inventory, rotating stock, and maintaining appropriate portion control.
• Provide assistance to the Lead Cook and Kitchen Manager in the development of meal plans and preparation schedules.
• Work closely with dietary staff to accommodate patient-specific dietary needs, such as low-sodium or gluten-free diets.
• Adhere to proper sanitation and safety practices in the kitchen.
• Assist in preparing special meals for holidays, events, or celebrations as needed.
• Participate in team meetings, providing input on menu suggestions, food quality, and patient feedback.
