Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring immediately for a full-time COOK at UM Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, MD. Prior prep and bulk cooking experience is required.

We offer a 32–40 hour weekly schedule with alternating weekends. Pay ranges from $19.00 to $20.00 per hour, with a focus on providing nourishing meals to patients and staff while upholding high standards of quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in prep and bulk cooking is required.
• Must be able to work full-time schedule (32–40 hours) with alternating weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and production schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery with correct portioning and temperatures; ensures food is attractive and tasty.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving; stores or discards excess food per safe handling procedures.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required; assists in ordering and receiving of food and supplies.
• Maintains HACCP standards and safe food-handling practices; communicates maintenance needs to supervisor.
