Job summary

UCHealth is seeking a PRN cook at the Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion in Aurora, CO. The role is onsite with a flex shift and 20.00 hours per pay period, offering hourly pay between $19.10 and $24.83 depending on experience.

You will prepare meals for patients, cafe, and catering services. Responsibilities include reviewing menus, following recipes, coordinating cooking times with supervision, and ensuring proper diet preparation and leftovers handling.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required (or UCHealth competency test).
• Minimum 1 year of kitchen or food service experience.

Responsibilities

• Review menu and special orders to determine quantities.
• Follow standardized recipes to prepare foods.
• Plan cooking schedule with supervisor to ensure timely readiness.
• Confer with supervisor on modified diets and leftovers usage.
• Maintain sanitation and safe food handling in the work area.
