You will handle recipe execution, tray assembly, and diet-specific modifications while maintaining a clean, efficient work environment and contributing to performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of therapeutic diets and texture/liquid modification.
• Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation.
• Knowledge of federal, state and city food codes and regulations.
• Familiarity with Kindred Nutrition & Culinary Services policies.
• Skilled in quantity cooking.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn menu management system.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves food following recipes, menus, and policies.
• Follows patient diet orders when serving patients.
• Maintains clean, safe kitchen environment and proper sanitation.
• Receives, stores, and tracks food and supplies; records temperatures as required.
• Operates equipment safely and reports issues promptly.
• Leads kitchen activities when assigned by supervisor.
• Participates in safety and performance-improvement initiatives.
• Communicates issues and opportunities for improvement to supervisor.
