Job summary

This full-time role requires following standardized recipes, maintaining sanitation, assisting in production planning, and backing up the patient tray line and cafeteria during rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational culinary training preferred.
• Six months of institutional or catering cooking experience, or two years of quantity food preparation.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic, follow recipes, and manage portion control.

Responsibilities

• Prepare hot foods per daily production sheet according to recipes and safety standards.
• Assist with daily clean-up and wash pans.
• Clean and sanitize the assigned work area.
• Maintain and operate kitchen equipment and storage according to policy.
• Assist in food production planning.
• Provide back-up services to patient tray line and cafeteria as needed during shifts.
• Follow hospital policies, safety guidelines, and licensing requirements.
