Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to lead the cafeteria, tray line, coffee shop, and catering events. You will forecast demand, oversee ordering, production, and service to ensure high-quality, safe meals for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience as a supervisor in a food-related environment.
• Serve Safe Certified and/or Certified Professional Food Manager preferred. Certification required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations for cafeteria, tray line, coffee shop, and catering events.
• Forecast demand, manage food ordering and inventory, and coordinate menus and pricing.
• Supervise staff, including hiring, scheduling, payroll, and evaluations.
• Maintain sanitation, safety, and HACCP compliance across service areas.
• Oversee vendor relations, cash handling, and POS integrity.
