Job summary

Mount Nittany Health in State College, PA is seeking a part-time Nutrition Services assistant to prepare and serve meals for patients and visitors, and to keep the cafeteria clean and stocked.

You will read recipes, portions, and assist with patient trays, beverages, and special events, while following safety and sanitation standards. This on-site role requires attention to detail and reliable attendance as part of a dining services team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous food service experience preferred.
• Must be able to read and follow directions.
• Must have good eye hand coordination.

Responsibilities

• Readies food items for meal service needs and portions plates for patient, cafeteria and events.
• Serves customers in the cafeteria and assists with patient tray assembly.
• Maintains clean and sanitized work areas, including dishwashing and kitchen surfaces.
• Assists in preparing beverages and hot items, and restocks supplies as needed.
• Participates in quality assurance tasks, including temperature checks and records.
