Talented Medical Solutions seeks a reliable Dietary Aide to support daily hospital kitchen operations in Tucson, AZ. The role involves cooking, dishwashing, food prep, and maintaining a clean, sanitary environment in line with healthcare standards.

Responsibilities include following recipes, assisting with food preparation, operating equipment safely, and delivering meals to patients as needed. The position offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to extend based on performance in a hospital

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food service, healthcare, or institutional cooking is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices (ServSafe preferred but not required).
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes, dietary restrictions, and physician orders.
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and assembling meals.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen surfaces, storage areas, and equipment.
• Properly store food items in accordance with food safety regulations (FIFO, temperature control, etc.).
• Deliver meal trays to patients and collect them after service as needed.
• Follow all infection control and safety guidelines specific to an acute care environment.
• Assist with inventory management, stocking supplies, and receiving deliveries.
• Work collaboratively with dietary staff, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support kitchen operations.
