Job summary

The Ohio Department of Behavioral Health seeks an Information Technology Supervisor 2 for the Appalachian Behavioral Healthcare hospital in Cambridge, Ohio. You will lead technical support and ensure reliable IT services for clinical and administrative functions, coordinating with Central Office IT and hospital leadership.

Normal hours are 8:00am–5:00pm, Monday through Friday. This exempt, non-union position requires strong team leadership, project management, and asset management in a hospital

Qualifications

• 6 1/2 years (78 mos.) exp. commensurate with job duties to be performed & knowledges & skills required as outlined in approved position description on file for position to be filled as advertised in job posting.
• Or completion of undergraduate core coursework in computer science, or completion of undergraduate core coursework in any academic major which included at least one course in each of the following: advanced-level computer programming language, logic-based mathematics, data base concepts.

• Provide coaching, structure, and performance oversight.
• Prioritize daily activities that support hospital operations.
• Ensure reliable access to essential technology for users.
• Oversee deployment, replacement, and tracking of equipment.
• Support planning for future technology needs.
• Align local operations with broader enterprise systems.
• Communicate service needs, system issues, and requirements.
• Serve as the point of contact for technology matters within the hospital.
• Partner with hospital leadership to address evolving needs.
• Recommend improvements that enhance service efficiency and reliability.
• Participate in initiatives that advance operational performance.
