Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking an HVAC Technician to perform installation, operation, preventive maintenance, servicing and repair of refrigeration equipment, heat pumps, and related systems across hospital locations. You will maintain HVAC systems, read blueprints, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, Universal Refrigeration Certification, 3 years of HVAC experience, and a valid Ohio driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred.
• Universal Refrigeration Certification.
• Three years of experience in HVAC installation/repair.
• Knowledge of chemical water treatment and analysis.
• Knowledge of electrical controls and HVAC-related electric theory.
• Knowledge of temperature control systems.
• Knowledge of indoor air quality standards.
• Experienced in blueprint reading and state/local codes.
• Must have a valid Ohio driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and determine repairs and maintenance to prevent breakdowns of HVAC systems.
• Install, maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and overhaul HVAC equipment and replacements.
• Read blueprints and update as-built drawings.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems.
• Operate HVAC systems to meet specified temperatures and humidity.
• Inspect and maintain hospital equipment like chillers, cooling towers, and air handlers.
• Test and treat boiler water and cooling tower water.
• Snow removal duties and related equipment operation as needed.
