Job summary

TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center is seeking an HVAC Technician for full-time day shifts in Springfield, TN. The role focuses on preventive maintenance of hospital systems to ensure reliability and safety, with strict adherence to OSHA lockout/tagout practices and PPE usage.

The ideal candidate will read blueprints, troubleshoot effectively, and communicate clearly with staff. A Tennessee driver’s license and 3+ years of healthcare facility experience are required.

Qualifications

• Proficient with hand tools and diagnostic/repair equipment.
• Ability to interpret blueprints/drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving abilities.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Familiar with NFPA/ASHRAE basics and JCAHO policy development.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on hospital systems and equipment to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Maintain OSHA lock out / tag out safety practices.
• Use PPE as required and follow safety protocols.
• Label equipment out of service and inform staff of backups.
• Operate two-way radios and assist other departments as needed.
