Job summary

College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy seeks a maintenance technician to repair and maintain mechanical and plumbing systems in our facility, inspect electrical equipment, estimate repair costs, and prepare requisitions to keep HVAC and refrigeration running smoothly.

You will work with contractors on construction projects, troubleshoot faults, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of specialized training in mechanical field
• 3+ years of experience (5 years preferred) in mechanical/plumbing
• Valid NC driver's license
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and specifications

Responsibilities

• Repair and renew mechanical systems
• Inspect and test electrical circuitry or equipment as needed
• Estimate cost of replacements or repairs and prepare requisitions
• Troubleshoot and repair faulty mechanical components to ensure continued mechanical and plumbing services
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on mechanical and plumbing systems
• Operate the energy management system to ensure continued mechanical, HVAC, and refrigeration systems
• Collaborate with contractors to complete construction projects
• Inspect construction projects for deficiencies and report to the supervisor
