Job summary

Northwell Health in Danbury is seeking an HVAC Mechanic to inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC, refrigeration, cooling, and heating systems throughout the hospital facility, ensuring reliable climate control per blueprints and manufacturer guidelines.

The role requires a Connecticut Cooling Unlimited Journeyperson license, strong BMS/BAS knowledge (digital and pneumatic), and at least two years of healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Cooling Unlimited Journeyperson (State of Connecticut S-2 or S-1 License).
• Working knowledge of BMS/BAS (Building Automation System) both digital and pneumatic controls.
• Minimum two-year experience required, Healthcare experience strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Maintains air quality, temperature, humidity, and pressure in hospital in accordance with standards.
• Monitors and adjusts air exchanges and room conditions via Building Management System (BMS).
• Troubleshoots and repairs HVAC equipment including chillers and AHUs.
• Collaborates to plan upgrades to building management systems and controls.
• Adheres to Lockout/Tagout safety procedures and utility regulations.
