Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of experience in housekeeping.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Knowledge of equipment such as vacuums and commercial washers and dryers.
• Must have basic phone and computer skills (email, texting, etc.).
• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• 1 year prior housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic tasks to maintain an aseptic, clean, and attractive environment.
• Spot cleans walls, windows, furniture, and carpets.
• Disinfects sinks, tubs, mirrors, and toilets using proper techniques.
• Maintains supplies of soap, towels, tissue, and other items.
• Makes beds and distributes linens.
• Cleans and sanitizes surfaces throughout the facility.
• Suggests improvements and participates in quality initiatives.
• Uses cleaning chemicals safely according to guidelines.
• Keeps housekeeping carts and vacuums in good condition.
• Reports repairs and follows up to ensure standards are met.
