Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Building Service Aide to support hospital cleanliness and patient comfort. You will clean, disinfect, and sanitize patient rooms, offices, corridors, and common areas in a fast-paced health care setting.

The role requires basic education and 0–1 year of experience, with opportunities to contribute to infection control and safe facility operations. We value reliability, attention to detail, and teamwork; flu vaccination is required.

Qualifications

• Some High School required.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers.
• Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.
• Previous experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans floors, walls, ceilings, light fixtures, shelves, dispensers, trash receptacles, beds, mattresses, stretchers, tables, chairs, desks, carpets, windows, mirrors, sinks, toilets, urinals, counters, doors, elevators and tracks on a daily basis.
• Removes and disposes of all trash, waste and litter.
• Refills soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers and toilet paper.
• Performs discharge cleaning as needed.
• Performs additional cleaning duties as scheduled (vacuuming, wall washing, spot cleaning, carpets/upholstery, curtains and drapes).
