Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Needham, Inc. is seeking a Building Service Aide to join our hospital environmental services team.

You will clean, disinfect and perform routine housekeeping tasks across patient rooms, offices and common areas, including floors, walls, bathrooms, and equipment, while ensuring infection control standards. Responsibilities include room setup, waste disposal, restocking dispensers, discharge cleaning, and occasional deep cleaning tasks.

Qualifications

• High School education required or equivalent.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers and ability to navigate web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and disinfects floors, walls, ceilings, fixtures, shelves, dispensers, trash receptacles, beds, mattresses, and more daily.
• Removes and disposes of all trash and waste.
• Refills soap, paper towel dispensers and toilet paper.
• Performs discharge cleaning as needed.
• Performs special cleaning duties such as vacuuming, wall washing, and curtain/drape installation.
