Job summary

Baptist Health Downtown in Jacksonville is seeking a Hospital Housekeeper to join the Environmental Services team. The role focuses on maintaining a safe, clean environment for patients, visitors and staff, utilizing UV disinfection technology and performing janitorial duties across the facility.

Full-time position with rotating shifts including evenings and some weekend/Holiday coverage; 40 hours weekly. High school diploma preferred with 1–2 years of Environmental Services experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years Environmental Services Experience Preferred
• Follows safety and security protocols
• Maintains OSHA-compliant cleaning standards

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of cleaning duties including janitorial and custodial services
• Sweeps, mops, dusts, and sanitizes areas such as offices, bathrooms, patient rooms, and waiting areas
• Maintains cleaning supplies per OSHA requirements and safety protocols
• Maintains friendly and professional attitude toward patients, visitors and staff
• May perform other duties as required

The Hospital Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.Baptist is proud to utilize state of the art UV Disinfection Technology via UV Robotic Machines. These machines break down the DNA of germs in the hospital environment before manual cleaning of an area is performed, keeping our team members and patients better protected.Shift Details: Full-Time, Various Shifts, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM. 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM when scheduled during the weekend. Rotating Weekends and Holidays are Required (40 hours per week)Location: Baptist DowntownHospital Housekeeper General Responsibilities:Performs a variety of cleaning duties as assigned.
