Baptist Health (Jacksonville) Downtown is seeking a Hospital Housekeeper to join the Environmental Services team. The role involves cleaning patient rooms, offices, and common areas with a focus on safety and sanitation.

Shifts are full-time, days from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with rotating weekends and holidays. Experience in environmental services is preferred, and a high school diploma is encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• 1–2 years Environmental Services experience preferred.
• Follows OSHA requirements when handling supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning duties including janitorial and custodial tasks.
• Sweeps, mops, dusts, and sanitizes areas such as patient rooms, offices, and common spaces.
• Maintains cleaning supplies in accordance with OSHA requirements.
• Maintains a friendly and professional attitude and follows safety and security protocols.
• May perform other duties as required.

The Hospital Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.Baptist is proud to utilize state of the art UV Disinfection Technology via UV Robotic Machines. These machines break down the DNA of germs in the hospital environment before manual cleaning of an area is performed, keeping our team members and patients better protected.Shift Details: Full-Time, Days, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Rotating Weekends and Holidays are Required (40 hours per week)Location: Baptist DowntownHospital Housekeeper General Responsibilities:Performs a variety of cleaning duties as assigned.
