Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic computer skills: email, scheduling, e-learning, policies and procedures.
• Must be able to maintain knowledge of chemicals used for cleaning and disinfecting.

Responsibilities

• Disinfect patient treatment areas and staff/visitor areas to maximize infection prevention.
• Perform collection, storage, and disposal of medical waste following policies.
• Clean remodeled or new areas and ensure they are ready for occupancy.
• Prepare patient rooms and exam rooms for new patients including disinfection, bed making and restocking.
• Interact with patients and visitors to provide directions and hospital information.
