Job summary

MercyOne Northeast Iowa is seeking an Environmental Services Tech to clean and disinfect patient care areas and public spaces in accordance with cleanliness standards. Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and understand the English language and communicate with patients, visitors, staff and physicians.
• Mandatory Reporter.
• If driving, a valid Iowa driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Ability to work with a large degree of independence.
• Must display a professional image and show customer-service focus.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient care areas and public spaces per cleanliness standards.
• Perform patient/resident room cleaning to ensure a clean, sanitary environment.
• Maintain equipment, carts and closets in a neat, orderly, and operational condition.
• Support safety, security and efficiency of the department and adhere to MercyOne values.
• Perform floor cleaning procedures and proper equipment care.
