Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Communicate in English by telephone.
• Must maintain knowledge of cleaning/disinfecting chemicals (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Disinfect treatment, invasive care, staff and visitor areas to maximize infection prevention and safety.
• Handle collection, storage, and disposal of general medical waste and biohazard materials per policy.
• Clean remodeled or newly constructed areas and ensure readiness for occupancy.
• Execute projects such as cubicle curtain changes and floor care.
• Prepare patient rooms and support areas for new patients with disinfection and supplies replenishment.
• Interact with patients and visitors to provide directions and hospital information.
