Job summary

Oceans Behavioral Hospital Broussard is seeking a Housekeeper to support daily cleaning and infection-control practices across patient rooms, nursing stations, and common areas. You will perform routine housekeeping tasks, stock supplies, and assist in maintaining a sanitary environment for patients and staff.

Must have basic reading/writing ability for labels and inventory, and at least a high school diploma with prior hospital housekeeping experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Reads and writes labels/containers of chemicals used and orders supplies.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Six months hospital housekeeping or janitorial experience or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all areas of the facility per policy.
• Disinfect patient rooms and baths daily.
• Perform terminal cleaning after transfers/discharges.
• Move and stock linen and supplies; manage waste per regulations.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times.
