Job summary

Baptist Health Downtown Environmental Services is seeking a Floor Technician Finisher to maintain clean, safe environments for patients, visitors and staff. This PRN, as-needed role supports major floor cleaning and refreshing across the medical center.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years housekeeping, 1–2 years floor finishing, and 1–2 years hospital experience (HS diploma preferred). UV disinfection tech used to help keep areas protected.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years housekeeping experience required
• 1–2 years floor finishing experience required
• 1–2 years hospital experience required
• High School Diploma preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform major floor cleaning and refreshing throughout the medical center.
• Perform all Environmental Services-related tasks.
• Follow established schedules and methods for cleaning.
• Maintain assigned equipment and report repairs as needed.
• Perform any other tasks as assigned.

Baptist is looking to add a Floor Technician Finisher to join our Baptist Downtown Environmental Services team. The Floor Technician Finisher is responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our patients, visitors, and staff. Baptist is proud to utilize state of the art UV Disinfection Technology via UV Robotic Machines. These machines break down the DNA of germs in the hospital environment before manual cleaning of an area is performed, keeping our team members and patients better protected.

Shift Details: PRN, As Needed Location: Baptist Downtown

General Responsibilities:

• Floor Finisher position performs major floor cleaning and refreshing throughout the medical center.
• Performs all Environmental Services-related tasks.
• Performs heavier cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods.
• Maintains assigned equipment for cleanliness and recommends repairs as needed.
• Performs all other tasks which may be assigned.

Floor Technician Finisher Experience:

• 3-5 Years Housekeeping Experience
• 1-2 years Floor Finishing Experience
• 1-2 years Hospital Experience

Education & Credential Requirements:

• High School Diploma Preferred
