Job summary

Long Beach Memorial Medical Center in Long Beach, CA seeks a House Supervisor – Central Staffing. This management role directs patient placement and nurse staffing across the campus, triages admissions and transfers, and coordinates responses with physicians, families, and staff.

Requirements: BSN, BLS and ACLS; 5 years acute care nursing; 2 years in management. Schedule: full-time days. Competitive pay within the listed range plus MemorialCare benefits.

Qualifications

• 5 years of active nursing practice in acute care.
• 2 years nursing management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs nurse staffing for the hospital as well as obtaining supplemental agency nursing staff.
• LBMC House Supervisor acts as the immediate supervisor for on duty Central Staffing Office staff as well as all Float Unit Staff.
• Responds to all hospital emergencies. Initiates Codes such as Code Triage, when necessary. During Code Triages acts as the Chief Nursing Office and Incident Commander, until relieved by assigned disaster officers.
• Responds to all customer requests including physicians, patients, families, support service staff, and managers.

Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)

BLS Certification
