Job summary

Orlando Health, Inc. is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to prepare hot foods for patient and non-patient services under the direction of the Executive Chef and Food & Nutrition Supervisor.

The role includes tray assembly support, dietary accommodations, and collaboration with the food service team. The ideal candidate will have at least six months of kitchen production experience, basic sanitation knowledge, and a willingness to assist in multiple kitchen areas while maintaining strict policy

Qualifications

• Reads and recognizes similarities and differences between words and numbers.
• Writes simple notes or correspondence.
• Responds to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
• Six months of fast food or kitchen production experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all hot food items per production plans and recipes.
• Assists with tray assembly and special diet needs.
• Adheres to food service sanitation and HACCP guidelines.
• Communicates needs to Executive Chef and supervisors.
• Willing to help in other kitchen areas when needed (cold prep, bakery, etc.).
• Maintains regular attendance and follows Orlando Health policies.
