Job summary

Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital is seeking a Hot Prep Cook to prepare hot meals for patients and non-patient dining in a high-volume hospital kitchen. Prior fast food or kitchen production experience is preferred, along with knowledge of basic food preparation and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
• Six months of fast food production or kitchen food production.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all hot food items for patient and non-patient services following production plans and recipes.
• Assists in tray assembly and preparation of special diet needs.
• Maintains food service sanitation and follows HAACP guidelines.
• Communicates needs to executives and peers to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Maintains regular attendance and adheres to policies.
