Job summary

North Shore Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a maintenance worker to perform routine to semi-skilled upkeep of hospital grounds, buildings, and facilities. You will read work orders, estimate time, materials, and costs, and help operate and test new equipment.

The role involves landscaping tasks, seasonal snow removal, and support for building maintenance, with a focus on safety and quality. On-site duties require the ability to travel between sites and work in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Class D Driver's License required; RMV check may be needed.
• 1 year landscaping experience required; 3-5 years preferred in landscaping and related duties.
• Ability to read and write to complete requisitions and work orders; basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Receive assignments and review work orders and schedules.
• Perform maintenance on grounds, equipment, and facilities.
• Operate snow plow, lawn equipment, and related tools.
• Mow lawns, trim hedges, prune trees, and maintain outdoor areas.
• Assist in setting up and delivering supplies and equipment as needed.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and proper storage of tools and materials.
