Job summary

Carilion Clinic is seeking a Gift Shop Representative to display and sell merchandise, operate the cash register, and provide friendly customer service. You will support daily store operations, assist with stocking, and help manage displays to drive sales in a busy hospital gift shop.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of retail experience, with strong interpersonal skills and reliability during seasonal periods.

Responsibilities

• Display and sell merchandise; operate cash register and process transactions.
• Assist in daily stocking and store displays; maintain storefront appearance.
• Support Gift Shop Lead with back-office tasks (POS item entry, purchase orders, receiving).
• Coordinate with staff and volunteers; assist in training and scheduling as needed.
• Ensure cash drawer balancing and accurate end-of-shift reconciliation.
