Job summary

Mercy is hiring a Food Service Worker I to support patient and guest meals in a hospital setting. Responsibilities include dishwashing, cold prep, salad production, serving, cashier duties, tray passing, cart loading, and general cleaning.

Strong communication with patients and staff is essential, along with reliable attendance and the ability to work with a variety of foods. Preferred applicants have at least 1 year of experience in a service-related environment and a High School Diploma or

• Maintains relationship with patients and customers to attain quality satisfaction of food.
• Is courteous, considerate and cooperative when communicating with all patients, guests, team members, and hospital personnel.
• Ability to work in direct contact with a variety of foods.
• Able to meet schedule requirements (attendance and punctuality).
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities
