Job summary

Baptist Health in Kentucky is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker I to join the Food and Nutrition Services team. This full-time/day shift role focuses on preparing and serving nutritious meals, maintaining clean, sanitary food service areas, and delivering quality nutrition care to patients, staff, and visitors.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent) and a Food Handler's Permit; prior related experience is welcome.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred; or 1 - 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Food Handler's Permit required by Madison County.

Responsibilities

Maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in all Food service area.
Serve, and/or operate cash register in cafeteria.
May include dishwashing, pot washing, general sanitation, cleaning, and use of kitchen equipment.
May assist in the service and storage of food.
This position performs general duties in the cafeteria area as required to insure high quality customer service. They have direct contact with both employees and visitors.
Assists in providing quality food and an enjoyable dining experience for patients, guests, and staff.
