• Acts as a resource to employees and students, providing day-to-day work direction and monitoring progress.
• Assists with interviewing and staff development, interpreting department policies.
• Monitors department operations, adjusts schedules and ensures timely completion of tasks.
• Provides guidance to food service staff, maintains quality production for internal and external customers.
• Resolves issues, handles customer complaints, and supports equipment troubleshooting during shifts.
• Forecasts food quantities for patients and cafeterias and maintains meal records.
• Manages purchasing, tray-line, and special function requests.
• Ensures sanitation and safety standards are followed and corrects deficiencies.
• Teaches food preparation, serving, recipe standardization, cashiering, and infection control.
