Job summary

Riverside Methodist Hospital, part of OhioHealth, is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker/Cashier. You will prepare hot and cold foods, assist with catered events, and provide friendly customer service at the point of sale to patients and retail customers.

You will handle cash, operate the register, and follow rigorous food safety practices in a fast-paced healthcare environment. No degree is required; basic math and reading/writing instructions are essential.

Qualifications

• No Degree or Diploma (Required)
• Must be able to read, write, and understand verbal/written instructions and perform basic math calculations.
• Must learn and understand safe and sanitary food handling techniques.
• Proper use of equipment such as knives and mixers.

Responsibilities

• Prepares hot and cold foods for patients and retail customers according to production sheets.
• Adheres to safe food handling practices and maintains cleanliness and sanitation of work area and equipment.
• Cashiering: opens/closes register, handles cash, processes card payments, and assists with deposits.
• Takes customer orders and prepares special orders when needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
