Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin seeks a versatile Food Service Worker in the Food and Nutrition department to support patient meals, cafeteria operations and catering, following diet guidelines and quality standards.

You will assemble and deliver meals, operate the cash register, assist with events, and maintain sanitation. No formal education required; training provided; 36 hours per week, 10:30 am to 7:00 pm, including every 3rd weekend and 2-3 holidays per year.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge in hospital food service.
• Ability to read and understand written and oral communications.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Office) and email.

Responsibilities

• Assembles patient and mobile meal trays according to approved diet guidelines.
• Loads and transports food carts and delivers meal trays to patient rooms.
• Operates cash register and handles cash; completes daily reports.
• Performs cleaning duties following sanitation procedures.
• Assists with catering prep, setup, and events.
• Prepares snacks, beverages and sandwiches per recipes.
• Delivers and stocks supplies to nursing units and other areas.
• Monitors food temperatures and safe handling.
