Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Food Service Worker to support meal assembly, service and delivery within our kitchen and patient services areas. The role includes dishwashing, sanitation and safety tasks, with interaction with customers and peers in a busy hospital setting.

Flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays is required, along with the ability to read, write and follow English instructions. Prior kitchen experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of kitchen sanitary control techniques is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of food service tasks in meal assembly, service and delivery.
• Wash dishes, maintain sanitation and safety within kitchen, cafeteria, dishroom and patient services.
• Interact with customers and peers in a dining environment.
