Job summary

Opelousas General Health System is seeking a Floor Care Technician to perform cleaning and floor maintenance across the premises. The role includes waxing, stripping, buffing and ensuring compliance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.

The technician will work under the Environmental Service Director, maintain safe workplaces, and support training and safety programs while handling varied shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience as Floor Care Technician in healthcare setting.
• Ability to perform floor care tasks including waxing, stripping and buffing.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and follow hospital safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Cleans bathrooms and other assigned areas.
• Cleans ancillary areas and patient care areas.
• Performs floor care duties using machines for floor cleaning and maintenance.
• Assists in training and maintaining a safe workplace under supervision.
