Job summary

UPMC Williamsport is seeking a Full-time Floor & Project Technician to join our Environmental Services team. You will be responsible for maintaining a variety of floor surfaces, including stripping and refinishing hard floors and shampooing carpeted areas to ensure a clean and safe environment.

This position operates on a 6:00-2:30pm schedule, Monday through Friday, with a rotational weekend schedule. You will inspect areas, report issues, and ensure equipment is well-maintained according to

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning and maintaining diverse floor surfaces, including hard floors and carpets.
• Ability to follow hospital cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
• Willingness to operate and maintain cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize after emergency spill clean-up requests.
• Change Shampoo to Extracts.
• Inspect and report issues to supervisor.
• Shampoo assigned carpeted areas.
• Maintain assigned equipment and report problems to supervisor.
• Follow hospital/department policies and procedures.
• Comply with safety and sanitation regulations, report issues to shift supervisor.
• Remove soil, wax, and sealer from hard floors.
• Use department-approved chemicals per Tech Manual.
