Job summary

AOS Staffing seeks a dependable Floor Technician to maintain floors and general areas across the facility, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and staff.

The role supports infection prevention standards and requires ability to work independently or as part of a team, with rotating weekends and holidays as needed. Uniform is provided and PPE compliance is expected.

Qualifications

• One year EVS or housekeeping experience
• Healthcare setting preferred
• Strong cleanliness and safety standards

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care services, including stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, scrubbing, and refinishing of hard-surface floors.
• Clean and maintain carpeted areas using extraction and spot-cleaning equipment.
• Operate and maintain floor care equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure all assigned areas meet cleanliness, safety, and infection-prevention standards.
• Inspect floors and surfaces regularly and report maintenance concerns to leadership.
• Transport and store supplies and equipment appropriately.
• Assist with housekeeping duties, including cleaning patient rooms, common areas, offices, restrooms, hallways, and public spaces.
• Complete discharge cleaning and room setup when assigned.
• Follow all policies and environmental services standards.
• Provide excellent customer service while interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
