Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii is seeking a Floor Care Technician to maintain clean, safe flooring across patient areas and public spaces. The role involves operating floor care equipment, following procedures, and coordinating with the housekeeping team.

This non-exempt position supports multiple shifts (full-time/part-time) and requires ability to pass a federal background check, with strong attention to safety and quality standards in a hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience as a floor technician.
• Knowledge of flooring types and proper use of chemicals/equipment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions in English.
• Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs and moving furniture.
• Experience operating floor care equipment and PPE compliance.
• Occasional exposure to cleaning chemicals and hospital environments.

Responsabilités

• Performs sweeping, mopping, stripping and refinishing of hard flooring.
• Vacuums and scrubs carpeted surfaces.
• Moves furniture and returns items to original place.
• Monitors supplies and requests cleaning solutions.
• Ensures floor machines are clean and in good condition.
• Handles cleaning chemicals with PPE compliance.
• Reports maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
