Qualifications

• Certified nursing assistant in Kentucky is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; CPR training within first week if not yet certified.
• Training on glucometer, Aegis, CNA patient deterioration, and arrythmia response provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care including hygiene, bathing, toileting, oral care.
• Obtain and record vital signs, weights, intake/output; report changes to RN.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe positioning of patients.
• Support admissions, transfers, and discharges; escort patients and ensure comfort and safety.
• Perform delegated tasks such as blood glucose monitoring and EKGs as assigned.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and dietary restrictions; respond to call lights promptly.
• Communicate effectively with RNs and team; participate in rounding and shift reports.
• Maintain clean, safe environment; adhere to infection control procedures.
