Job summary

Baptist Health in Lexington, KY is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Float Pool, available in ICU and Tele units. The RN provides direct patient care, coordinates patient flow, and supports admissions, transfers, and discharges.

Responsibilities include nursing rounds, assessments, patient education, and care coordination to ensure high-quality outcomes, with a focus on compassionate, evidence-based practice in a healing environment.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky
• 2 years RN experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Associate’s Degree with ten years’ experience required
• In lieu of a bachelor’s degree and less than ten years’ experience, an Associate Degree is acceptable with enrollment in a BSN program within 12 months and degree completion within 5 years
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• ACLS/PALS/NRP and dysrhythmia class as required by department

Responsibilities

• Majority of time (>50%) coordinating and providing direct patient care on the unit
• Nursing rounds, assessments, and treatments
• Facilitating admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Providing patient and family-centered education
• Care coordination and individualized treatment planning as applicable
