Job summary

Enloe Medical Center is seeking an Accountant to support the Finance & Business Analysis team in Northern California. The role reports to the Controller and focuses on daily accounting tasks, journal entries, a monthly close, and financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in business with an accounting/finance emphasis and at least two years of diversified accounting experience, preferably in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business with accounting or finance specialization is required.
• Two years of diversified accounting experience is preferred.
• Hospital accounting experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and assist in monthly closing.
• Analyze accounts and prepare monthly financial statements per GAAP.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and general ledger to subsidiary ledgers.
• Assist with annual financial audit and various accounting projects.
• Support management with financial reporting and analysis.
• Maintain data integrity and work independently with minimal supervision.
