Job summary

The Valley Health System is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support West Henderson Hospital’s facilities. You’ll perform carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting and general building tasks, maintaining equipment and infrastructure to support patient care 24/7.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years of trades experience or a suitable certification, and strong troubleshooting and math skills to diagnose and fix issues across mechanical and electrical systems.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Completion of a trade certification or 2+ years practical experience in one or more trades (carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, locksmith, general building, general equipment maintenance).
Associates degree in related field preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience; degree may substitute for experience.
Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic and basic mathematical aptitude.
Skills across multiple trades and ability to work across disciplines.

Responsibilities

Maintain hospital buildings, grounds, equipment and utilities.
Perform specialty tasks in carpentry, painting, etc., and be ready to work in other trades when trained.
Ensure reliable operation of mechanical and electrical systems to support patient care.
