Job summary

Indiana University Health in Monticello, IN is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold a safe, compliant facility environment supporting patient care. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot building systems, and coordinate with hospital departments to resolve issues.

The schedule is Monday–Friday 7am–3:30pm with rotating weekends/on call; candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, valid Indiana driver’s license, and at least 2 years’ relevant maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Indiana driver’s license with proof of insurance may be required.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing and air systems preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
• Basic computer skills necessary for building systems records.
• Healthcare facility building codes knowledge preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled and non-scheduled preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on building systems.
• Maintains, repairs and inspects machinery and equipment in code-compliant manner.
• Recommends improvements to facilities and systems to meet patient care needs.
• Coordinates activities with other hospital services and departments.
• Performs routine building and grounds inspections.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
